NEWS: Tribe of Ghosts drop 'Hive', play Bloodstock next week

Brighton-based metallers Tribe of Ghosts are back with another brand new track, serving as a great addition to their fearsome stream of singles. Seemingly emerging out of nowhere just over a year ago, they have made some serious waves since last year's appearance at Bloodstock's New Blood Stage. Most recently to this, they had Ben Mason from Bound in Fear guest on Deny The Rot - and they're appearing on the Sophie stage at Bloodstock in just over a week.

Hive opens with a frantic, agitated guitar riff and punishing electronic sounds before introducing the iconic twin-vocal synergy for a couple of verses from Beccy and Adam, calling and responding with each other, the two disparate styles - importantly - complementing the other. The drumming in particular is very powerful, technical, and locked in with the fret-burning riffs, giving the track a bit of a Gojira-style feel in its groovier verses. The key change into the melodic chorus is really nice, and Beccy's clean vocals truly soar over the top of it. Leading into a chest-thumping buildup and a storming breakdown with powerful lyricism, it's almost over too quickly!

Hive is up there in quality with everything else that the band have released, boasting some serious sonic power, wild rhythms and a killer chorus section. Its intensity is matched by its emotivity, and this track will surely prelude another important Bloodstock performance for TOG.

From the band:

Brighton’s Industrial / Post Metal band Tribe Of Ghosts have today shared a brand new single titled ‘HIVE’. ‘HIVE’ is an all out barrage of frenetic and furious sound design and a vicious addition to Tribe Of Ghosts genre-melting discography that depicts a first person view of a world spoilt by dehumanisation and barbarous oppression.

“When we were writing Hive, we felt that we were at a point where we understood our sound and what we wanted to create. With this in mind, we wanted to craft a song that sets the scene of the world that we build with our music, that explores the electronic and the organic, and declares our intent of giving into the chaos that oozes out of us on stage and in the writing process." - Guitarist Adam Sedgwick.

Tribe Of Ghosts have released ‘HIVE’ ahead of their appearance at this year's Bloodstock Open Air Festival. The band will be performing on the Sophie Lancaster stage on Saturday 12th August 2023.

Tribe Of Ghosts have had an exciting year since relaunching their live show in June 2022; having released their previous single Sunburner (Deny The Rot) with Ben Mason to rave reviews, supported Imperial Triumphant and Forlorn, performed at Doomsday 2023; Tribe Of Ghosts look forward to their hotly anticipated return to Bloodstock 2023 and their first performance at Rabidfest.
